TUESDAY, July fourteen, 2020 (HealthDay Information) — As President Donald Trump pushes for faculties to reopen, 71% of American moms and dads believe it would be moderately or very risky to ship their youngsters again to college, a new survey finds.
Black moms and dads were most likely to sense this way (89%), followed by eighty% of Hispanic moms and dads and sixty four% of white moms and dads, according to the Axios-Ipsos poll, the Washington Post reported.
Only one in 3 respondents mentioned they have confidence in the federal government to search out for their family’s passions for the duration of the coronavirus pandemic, the survey observed.
Trump has been insisting that youngsters return to college, and has even threatened to halt federal funding to districts that do not reopen, the Post reported.
